When speaking about her brother, 27-year-old Salamatou Ndam voice is calm and composed. The sorrow she feels for him is rather deep and entrenched in this girl's looks, moves and thoughts. The mother of two children aged 6 and 4, Salamatou was pregnant when her 28-year-old brother, Ibrahim Mouni Ndam, left the country with few belongings his father's passport. "He has not and maybe will never see his nephews. He left in the month of March 2010. We haven't had news of him since May 2014" she explains.
