Cambodia - Kampong Speu Province - Louv Veoun, 39, cooking a piece of royal jelly she found in the woods close to the sugarcane plantation where she works. The family can afford to eat only a handful of rice per day, this royal jelly is a precious find. “I don't want money, I want my old land back. It is the land of my ancestors”. Louv Veoun, 39 and mother of 8, was living in a small cottage on her rice field in Kork until March 2010, when she was dispossesed of her two hectares of land and compensated with 25 USD. She was forced to abandon her house and settle in a piece of land belonging to some of her relatives, close to the plantation. Today, she lives in utter poverty together with her family.
