Cambodia - Kampong Speu Province - Hai Morn, 64 sitting in the sugarcane plantation where they work daily as a labourer. She comes from Kork. In 2010, she was stripped of her land. Hai Morn, a soft-spoken woman of 64 from Kork. “I come here just to earn enough money to survive” she explains, sitting on a recently harvested field for a few-minute-rest. Her eyes, thoughtful and calm, suddenly fill with tears, as she erupts in a quiet, sober weep. “I cry all the time, I cannot even sleep at night” continues Hai, drying her cheeks with a cap. “I go to see my land every day. Some of it is still empty” she sobs, as if she were speaking about a dear relative.
