India – West Bengal: A worker cleaning up tea residues at the processing factory at Makaibari Tea Estates, in the Darjeeling region. Here, leaves are fermented, dried and packed. Tea industry was first introduced in West Bengal during colonialism by the British, which kept on managing most of the tea estates until the 60s.
