China - Ningxia - Traditional Chinese food being cooked for the opening ceremony of the Chateau. The grand opening of the Chateau Copower Jade, on the outskirts of Yinchuan. The 80-hectare-vineyard and the winery’s modern structure cost 19 million euros and won the 2018 RVF Wine Design Award. <br />

The Copower Jade chateau belongs to an oil exploration and import company based in Hong Kong. It has 11 varieties of grapes and a total production capacity of 800,000 bottles per year.<br />

Around 90 per cent of Ningxia’s wine production focuses on red, with cabernet-sauvignon as the most popular variety. Several other varieties were introduced in the past years, including Merlot, Marselan, Malbec, Shiraz, Pinot Noir and, for white wine, Chardonnay and Italian Riesling.
