Uzbekistan - Tashkent - Posters of bodybuilders hanged in the basement of House 45, a communal yard built in Soviet times. In Soviet times, it was really popular to have a commune apartment, one apartment with few families, with shared kitchen and toilet. In Tashkent there were only few. <br />
This is a different idea: all apartments are private, but the yard is shared, so everybody socialised by watching movies, playing sports, doing joint weddings. Everybody knew each other and made friends. After the Soviet revolution, the civil war and the long years of disaster, in 1921 they started to build civil residence buildings.
