Laos - Na Kam Peng - A 35-year-old widow from the village of Na Kam Peng, Ai Wu still struggles to come to grasp with the loss of his 5-year-old boy E Nee. In 2006, her son and two other kids were torn apart when a cluster bomb they were playing with exploded in the village. “I think of him every day” says the woman. “If he were still alive, he would be the size of his elder sister now”. The mother of three other kids aged from 13 to 17, Ai Wu is constantly worried for what might happen to them or to herself everytime she goes to work on her rice field. “I am always scared from my life, but I have to do it, otherwise we wouldn't eat” she says.
