Indonesia - Bangka Island - Rebo - Ajong Fang, 45, and his son Feri, 6 standing in their palm plantation. Ajong owns a mine and has worked on tin mining for ten years now. He extracts 200 kg of pure tin per day from his concession. He has also reclamated a 50-hectare previous mining concession, turning it into a palm oil plantation. “I did it for my children” he says, “because tin mining will not be profitable in the long term”.
